Cancellation Policy

LocalKurb operates a Firm cancellation model. This policy balances guest flexibility with host protection and ensures a reliable marketplace for our property owners and service providers.

1.The 48-Hour Booking Grace Period

Guests are eligible for a 100% refund of the accommodation fare if they cancel within 48 hours of the initial booking confirmation, provided the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before the scheduled check-in date.

Example A:If a guest books on the 1st for a stay starting on the 20th, they have until the 3rd to cancel for a full refund.
Example B:If a guest books on the 1st for a stay starting on the 10th (less than 14 days away), no grace period applies and the booking immediately moves to the 50% refund tier.

2.The 7-Day Window — 50% Refund

If a guest cancels after the initial 48-hour grace period has passed, but at least 7 full days before the local check-in time (e.g., 3:00 PM on the day of arrival), they are entitled to a 50% refund of the accommodation fare.

3.Late Cancellations — 0% Refund

If a guest cancels less than 7 days before the scheduled check-in, or decides to leave early after checking in, the booking is non-refundable. The host will receive 100% of the payout for all nights booked.

Additional Fee Clarifications

Cleaning Fees: If a guest cancels at any time prior to check-in, the cleaning fee is always refunded 100%, as the service has not been performed.
LocalKurb Service Fees: The platform service fee is only refundable during the initial 48-hour grace period. Outside of that window, it is non-refundable.
Local Provisions & Mobility: Cancellations for add-on services (car rentals, airport shuttles, grocery delivery) are managed separately and must be cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the service start time to be eligible for a refund.

How Refunds Are Processed

Eligible refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer or bank. LocalKurb does not charge additional processing fees for cancellations.

Platform Role

LocalKurb acts solely as an intermediary marketplace. Hosts and guests enter into agreements directly with one another. This cancellation policy sets the platform-level default; hosts may not impose stricter terms than those stated above.
